Tips on choosing a Wedding Celebrant
Here you are on the brink of forever. The plans made, family invited, party supplies have been purchased.
All that’s left is deciding on which wedding Celebrant to go with. After all, surely you will want to have someone who will reflect your beliefs and your style right down to where you stand when you say I do. Speaking from personal experience, that is what really matters. The moment that you stand there, looking into your loved one’s eyes and saying those two precious words…I do. Pretty amazing. If I had to do it over again, I don’t think I would change anything. In this day and age though, the big church weddings are becoming few and far between. Instead there are weddings being held in parks, near lakes and even at golf courses. It is very important to also choose the proper florist. Tradition has been sidelined for what seems to be much more trendy fads. A word to the wise when choosing your wedding Celebrant. Any person can hang a sign on their door and say that they can officiate weddings and what have you, but there is more to that than just a 5 day course. It takes experience above all and the Celebrant must also have know how and have that calm about him that most people seek. The type of person that you can see yourself telling your deepest secrets to. Follow these tips to choose your Celebrant:

1. Does this person have the calmness that we mentioned? Does it seem like this person really understands who you are and what you want?

2. Will this Celebrant be straight forward with you and your spouse to be? You want someone who will do what they say, for example, if he says the wedding will be at 2pm, he won’t come rolling in at 4pm.

3. Will he honor you and your loved one’s wishes? He has to understand where it is that you come from spiritually.

4. Will he have any hidden charges? Hopefully he will be straight with you and not have any hidden fees like charging you fifty dollars to sign your wedding certificate. Hopefully you have gained some useful tips. If not, well, hopefully you were entertained.
